I have a disc faucet in my kitchen sink. there is leakage for which I want to pull the faucet handle out. I was able to remove the cap on the top of the faucet with a screwdriver, then removed the single screw to free the faucet lever. but I could not pull out the lever.
I have Moen faucet

    Ur more than half way there, Just tap on the handle itself, It’s just stuck is all. Put a rag over it and bang it around a lil, thats 22 years of fixing the stupid things telling ya this lol

    without being familiar with your particular faucet, I have seen others that have a sort of "C" ring in the throat of the cylinder that the valve sits in. It can be pried out with a small flathead screwdriver. It slides in, and sort of "snaps" in.
    Turn off the water first, though.

    Unscrew the valve body itself…the top portion. It all depends on the valve, what is the make of the faucet. My husband is a plumber and could give you instructions but all facets are different.

    BEST THING I CAN TELL YOU IS TO CHANGE IT OUT, THEY ARENT HIGH PRICED AND EASY TO CHANGE, OF COURSE TURN YOUR WATER OFF….THEY ARE JUST PLASTIC NUTS UNER NEATH THE SINK….ITS A 7 MINUTE JOB….OK….IF ITS LEAKING, JUST CHANGE IT…OR HAVE A WET CABINET AND FLOOR…ITS SHOT…
