Can I take my KOHLER Fairfax® Single-Control Kitchen Sink Faucet apart to clean out sediments? The water pressure in the faucet is extremely low but the sprayer works just fine. How do I open up the faucet? Thanks

I raise the kitchen faucet lever up, but maybe there isn’t enough water pressure to keep it there. It falls slowly and I have to lift it again. Is there some spray or something I can use to increase the friction?
Actually I just found the answer on the faucet website. Donald M had it right. There was a small cap, popped it off and then tightened internal "screw" with phillips head screwdriver and that solved it.

Bathroom faucet runs fine hot/cold; kitchen has hot only; so no cold water at all from kitchen faucet. Kitchen faucet is a Price Pfister single handle faucet that was just installed about a month ago. I’m thinking maybe the pipe froze near the kitchen since it was one of the coldest days ever last night and today as well in my area? Could something else (maybe debris) be blocking cold water supply near kitchen? Could it be a problem with the faucet itself? I’m leaning towards a frozen area of pipe. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
tercir2006: thanks for the info! I don’t have a basement (am on a concrete slab, one level) I do have an attic and there are plumbing pipes up there. I had insulated them with insulation a few months ago. It was around zero degrees and probably less with wind chill last night and today will be as well (almost record breaking low for my area). It’s supposed to warm up tomorrow and the next day so hopefully if it is a frozen pipe, it will thaw by then.

It is a price pfister, single handle pullout faucet (no side sprayer), it seems all of sudden I started losing pressure, particularly on the hot water side. The pressure in the rest of the house is fine. Any ideas why this would happen and how to fix it? I cleaned the aerator but that didn’t do anything.

hi
I bought a new kohler kitchen faucet to replace my old one. It is the same model and it a single arm unit with a pull out sprayer. The new model is cheaply made and the sprayer hose is made of cheap black plastic while my old sprayer has a nice stainless steel hose. I want to keep the old sprayer and install it in the new base. PROBLEM. the new sprayers have a plug in style connector to get the hose connected to the water supply. My old sprayer hose is the old screw on style. can I convert the old screw on to the new plug in?? thanks!

I noticed about a week ago that my kitchen water temperature was lukewarm. I have a single handle faucet in the kitchen sink.
All the faucets in my apartment are that way. I checked the water temperature in the bathroom. It is coming out hot in the bathroom sink and shower. The hottest temperature in the kitchen faucet is lukewarm.
My husband thinks that it could be something wrong with the mixer valve in the faucet itself. Does the faucet need replacing in the kitchen? Will a new faucet solve the temperature problem?
Thanks for any answers.
The hot water valve is opened all the way.
So it’s not the hot water valve. It’s horrible doing dishes. I have to boil water to make sure they’re sanitary. I will inform the landlord about the faucet. He is quick to get repairs done.

It has lost aeration and I would like to know where to look for series or model # to access parts list and/or disassembly instructions to attempt cleaning or repair. Thanks

There is a white plastic line that runs from the faucet to the sprayer thingy under my kitchen sink. It looks like a mouse or something chewed it up and there is a hole now. How can I repair this without calling a plumber? Single Mom here and I don’t have the money to call a plumber. Was thinking of using duct tape, but am not sure this will work. It only has to hold a month or so. And calling the landlord isn’t an option either. They haven’t fixed anything since I moved in, so I’m sure they won’t fix this either.
